Two state-of-the-art Lighting manufacturing units located at Kashipur (Uttarakhand) and Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh). One of the few ‘fully backward integrated’ Lighting Companies in India with components manufacturing capability.
Counted amongst one of the top lighting R&D centres in India, the Surya Technology and Innovation Centre (STIC) at Noida caters to Photometric, Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental, and Endurance test requirements for development of latest generation energy-saving luminaires. Additionally, the STIC is also being used to carry out Photometric Optical Testing of the luminaire for quality control. STIC houses the Mirror Goniophotometer from LMT, Germany, an equipment for precise and accurate measurement of the distribution of light in the lamps, luminaires and LED chips, which can be found in technological centres of some of the leading lighting companies in the world. STIC has approvals from DSIR, Govt. of India and accreditation from NABL.
Surya over four decades stands as a very robust brand in steel pipes and it is one of India’s largest GI pipe manufacturers. The Bahadurgarh plant has a capacity of producing 2,25,000 MT of ERW pipes and 1,15,000 MT of CR sheets per annum. The Malanpur (Gwalior) plant has a capacity of producing 1,15,000 MT of ERW pipes per annum.
Surya’s ultra–modern manufacturing plant located in Bhuj, Gujarat, spreads over an enormous area of 100 acres. Located just by the national highway at the Bhuvad village (Anjar) in Kutch, within a close proximity to the Kandla/Mundra port, this plant has a capacity of producing ERW pipes with 2,30,000 MT and Spiral pipes of 60,000 MT per annum. Spiral Welded pipes are manufactured here that comes in the range of 18” to 105” with a maximum wall thickness of 1” (25.4mm) conforming to API/ASTM/IS specifications.
Considering the need for rationalizing logistic cost, leveraging company’s presence in the premium market of South India and improving the ROI, impelled the company in 2017 to commission a state-of-the-art manufacturing unit for ERW Black and GI pipes at Hindupur District, Ananthapuram, Andhra Pradesh. With an initial capacity of 90,000 MTPA subsequently increased to 1,50,000 MTPA considering the overwhelming response of the market. This has resulted in the creation of a larger and stronger steel pipes business with economies of scale in the company.
To strengthen and take the benefit of scale of operations, the company has merged SGSTL having its manufacturing facility at Bhuj for export and manufacturing of ERW, Spiral & API pipes. Steps have also been taken for establishing 3 LPE coating facilities for 18,50,000 m2 external and 11,00,000 m2 internal coated pipes at the unit which shall further enlarge the existing product basket and enable to supply different types of coated pipes like 3LPE, 3LPP, FBE and internal epoxy coating which is anti-corrosive and also increases the life of the pipe.
